Event:
The Pro-Am Gagné-Bergeron returns to the Videotron Centre for its 15th and final edition, which is sure to be an emotional one! On August 10, a minimum of 21 professional players will join ten amateur players (including two goaltenders) in an exciting charity field hockey game between the Bruins of captain Patrice Bergeron and the Canadiens of honorary captain David Savard. This is an event not to be missed!
NHL players will include Yanni Gourde of the Seattle Kraken, Jonathan Marchessault of the Vegas Golden Knights and Pierre-Luc Dubois of the Winnipeg Jets.
The festivities will be launched with a pre-game at Place Jean-Béliveau. This family friendly event will allow fans to enjoy food and beverage booths, exhibition stands, outdoor games, animation and a continuous musical performance by DJ Dan.
As is now the tradition, the Simon Gagné - Patrice Bergeron Trophy will be awarded to the amateur player of the game. The Pierre Gagné Cup will be awarded to the winning team in tribute to Pierre Gagné, Simon's father and one of the founders of the Gagné-Bergeron Pro-Am.
For the fifteenth consecutive year, the Blue Gable and Leucan, for the eighth year, the Philippe Boucher Foundation, and for the fourth time, the Maurice Tanguay Foundation are organizing the Pro-Am Gagné-Bergeron, a fundraising activity to benefit four charitable organizations that help sick, underprivileged or special needs children. It is a field hockey game in which professional NHL players and amateur players from the greater Quebec City area participate as volunteers.
